இலங்கைத்தீவின் அதிகாரம் சிறிலங்கா பேரினவாத அரசின் கைகளிற்கு பிரித்தானியரால் கையளிக்கப்பட்ட நாள் முதல் தமிழ்பேசும் மக்கள் மீதான இனவழிப்பு தொடர்ந்துவருகின்றது.
இனவழிப்பின் உச்சமாக, ஆயிரக்கணக்கான மக்களை முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் என்ற குறுகிய நிலப்பரப்புக்குள் சிக்கவைத்து, சர்வதேச ரீதியாக தடைசெய்யப்பட்ட ஆயுதங்களை திட்டமிட்ட ரீதியில் பயன்படுத்தி, சாட்சிகள் அற்ற போரை நடத்தி, ஒரு தேசிய இனத்தின் அழிவை செய்திருக்கின்றது சிறிலங்கா அரச பயங்கரவாதம்.
கொடிய போர் முடிவடைந்து 16ஆண்டுகள் கடந்தும், நீதிக்காக எமது மக்கள் இன்னமும் போராடிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றார்கள். நேரடியான இனவழிப்பு போர் முடிவடைந்து, மறைமுகமான இனவழிப்பு போராக தொடர்ந்தும் தமிழ் மக்கள் மீதான நெருக்கடிகள் வெவ்வேறு வழிகளில் தொடர்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றது.
இந்நிலையில், ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் மே மாதம் 18 ஐ தமிழர் இனவழிப்பு நினைவு நாளாக பிரகடனப்படுத்தி தமிழர்கள் வாழும் அனைத்து நாடுகளிலும் நினைவேந்தல் நிகழ்வுகள் நடைபெற்றுவருகின்றன.
இந்நிலையில், தமிழர்கள் வாழும் அனைத்து நாடுகளிலும் தமிழர் இனவழிப்பு நினைவேந்தல் நாள் நிகழ்வுகள் இவ்வாண்டும் மே 18 அன்று - 18 - 05 - 2025 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை - நடைபெறுவதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகள் நடைபெற்றுவருகின்றன. அந்த வகையில் அவுஸ்திரேலியாவின் எட்டுப் பெருநகரங்களிலும் நினைவேந்தல் நாள் நிகழ்வுகள் சிறப்பாக நடைபெறவுள்ளன.
இந்நினைவேந்தல் நாள் நிகழ்வுகளில் அனைத்து உறவுகளையும் கலந்துகொள்ளுமாறு அன்புடன் கேட்டுக்கொள்கின்றோம்.

Even after 16 years since the end of the brutal war, our people are still fighting for justice. While the direct genocide war has ended, the indirect genocide war continues, and the oppression on the Tamil people continue in different ways.
May 18th is declared as Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day, and commemorative events are being held in all countries where Tamils live.
In this context, preparations are underway to hold Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day events in all countries where Tamils live on May 18 - Sunday, 18 - 05 - 2025 - this year as well. Accordingly, Remembrance Day events will be held in all eight major cities of Australia.
